In the fall of 2020, I was praying in the spirit and saw Wisdom with a shirt on that said “64”. My voice asked inquisitively “Isaiah 64?.”
Here are the first 3 verses:
God, if only you would tear open the heavenly realm and come down!
How the mountains would tremble
in your awesome presence!
In the same way that fire sets kindling to blaze
and causes water to boil,
let the fire of your presence[c] come down.
Reveal to your enemies your mighty name
and cause the nations to tremble before you!
When you did amazing wonders we didn’t expect,
you came down,
and mountains shuddered in your presence! Isaiah 64:1-3 TPT
While watching a sermon a few weeks later, the minister mentioned Isaiah 64 and followed it up with this verse:
Mountains melt away like wax in a fire
when the Lord of all the earth draws near. Psalm 97:5
Fire represents judgement/cleansing several places in the Bible. Mountains represent things that seem impossible to move. There are other mentions of mountains/hills as the high places where cults meet to sacrifice to other gods.
Just prior to Passover, an interesting discovery was made in Israel. Fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered for the first time since 1948. The Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden during the revolt of the Jewish people in 132 AD. The following verses were discovered:
The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. Nahum 1:5-6 KJV
These are the things that ye shall do: Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates; and let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath. For all these are things that I hate,’ saith the Lord.” Zechariah 8:16-17 KJ21
If you have not read my previous article Nahum, please click the name and it will take you to it. It will give you better context of why the discovery above is important. The message from the Lord is clear: Mountains are going to melt and His anger is against those who took an oath to speak truth.
What are the mountains? These are the seemingly indestructible, immovable institutions in the world. They are going to melt in the days to come from the faith of God’s people.
In April of 2021, while praying in the spirit, I saw a book come down in a vision and slam into the ground. In gold letters, I saw the word “Maccabees.” The book of Maccabees is not included in the Protestant canon. It is a set of historical books included in the Catholic canon describing some the history of Judah between the 167 BCE and the birth of Jesus Christ.
Antiochus Epiphanes became king of the Greek kingdom in 175 BC. After invading and plundering Egypt, he went up against Israel in 169 BC. He entered the sacked the temple in Jerusalem and arrogantly destroyed the holy utensils with in. Israel mourned deeply. 2 years later, the king sent a tax collector with a large force to Jerusalem. The collector deceived the people by speaking peaceful words and the Jewish people trusted them. They plundered the city, destroying it with fire, and taking their women, children, and livestock. Finally, the enemy fortified the city with a great strong wall and stationed sinful people there.
Along with the sacking of their capitol city, the King ordered the Jewish people to worship the Hellenistic gods, burned their scriptures, and put to death anyone found practicing their Jewish faith. These evil men went from town to town requiring Jews to renounce their faith. They demanded the Jewish people renounce God and participate in their sacrifices to false gods. In 167 BC, the Greeks met Mattathias Maccabee and demanded he renounce his faith. In lieu of surrendering, he killed one of the King’s men and fled to the hills with his 5 sons. The Maccabees and partners started a campaign of destroying the altars of the false gods and reinstituted Jewish practices around the land. One of the many tactics used by the enemy of that day was to settle aliens in all their territory. The Maccabees eventually took the land back from the foreigners and, by 160 BCE, they had restored the temple and taken back over their land through several fierce battles.
The parallels in this story are remarkably similar to where our own nation is and where God is taking it. The Maccabees were the remnant of their day that refused to bend the knee to foreign gods and fought the enemy until all the kingdom was recaptured. The enemy’s tactics in our nation is no different than that of Antiochus. They built a wall around the capitol to protect their takeover and are allowing aliens to invade our land.
The story God is telling through the above prophetic words is clear. There is a remnant of people who believe in the covenant our God has with this nation. The goat leaders will have their leadership stripped away and mountains will melt around them as God steps in to cleanse our land. The temple will be taken back from the foreign gods by a modern day army of the Lord.
Here are some final strong words from Judas Maccabees:
But Judas said to those who were with him, ‘Do not fear their numbers or be afraid when they charge. Remember how our ancestors were saved at the Red Sea, when Pharaoh with his forces pursued them. And now, let us cry to Heaven, to see whether he will favour us and remember his covenant with our ancestors and crush this army before us today. Then all the Gentiles will know that there is one who redeems and saves Israel.’ 1 Maccabees 4:8-11
