Harvest Time!

Our Father likes to tell us stories through our surroundings. These signs and wonders show us where we are, where we are going, and allows us to learn the heart of God. We just need to put the evidence together.

Over the last 3 years, God has been sanctifying me in preparation for something. The first year of the fire was intense. I really thought I had completely lost my mind at times. The truth is I had. The rebirth experience was intense. There were times I felt as though I had the emotions of a young child.

God was rewiring my brain to sense Him and express the spiritual gifts bestowed upon me. I started to notice things and see God in everything. God was restoring what the enemy had destroyed over the years of my life.

Often times people blame the devil for their problems and destruction in their life. The Book of Job is a story in the Bible often overlooked. Satan was accusing Job of being disloyal to God. God said test my servant but don’t kill him. Satan came at him with six guns blazing. He destroyed his health, his family, his crops, and his farm. Job stayed faithful to God throughout. When it was over, God restored Job two-fold.

Job 42:10 And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Similar to Job’s farm, I own a 70 acre farm in Oklahoma. It has 38 acres of irrigated land, 12 acres of dryland, and the remainder is a barn along with some wooded area. The irrigation is a pivot type. Those are the crop circles you see from above when you’re in an airplane.

I purchased the field in 2017 and it was planted in alfalfa. We had 3 years of trials with this alfalfa field. Worms came the first year to steal the harvest, weeds (mule-tails) came the 2nd year to steal it, and the 3rd year the worms and weeds came in again to steal it. In the fall of 2020, we plowed the old crop under and planted it into wheat.

In June of 2021, we harvested the wheat crop. I hired a tenant farmer to come out to harvest. I showed up the day the wheat was being baled into large round and square bales. There were bales everywhere!! It was amazing. He windrowed the hay up and the undercarriage of the tractor was dragging it around while he baled. The baler got clogged up from all the wheat while I was watching him.

I contacted my dad to ask him what average harvest was for wheat. Depending on conditions, wheat harvest averages about 1.75 tons per acre on irrigated ground and 1.25 tons on dryland.

This ground produced 196 tons. 3.92 tons average on 38 acres of irrigated and 12 acres of dryland. Over TWICE what the average is. The enemy had come into steal my crop for 3 years and the Lord restored it 2 fold.

Such as is our spiritual life, sometimes the old crop has to be plowed up and a new one has to come in.

The Lord is doing a new thing. The field was plowed last year and a new crop planted. There’s a company of His children He has prepared for this moment in time. The harvest is coming…..the balers are going to get clogged up. Pray for more balers…..

Matthew 9:37-38 He turned to his disciples and said, “The harvest is huge and ripe! But there are not enough harvesters to bring it all in.  As you go, plead with the Owner of the Harvest to thrust out many more reapers to harvest his grain!”
